LEARN: Based on your situation, we’ll recommend financial and/or home buyer education courses that provide you with all of the information you need to make smart homebuying choices.
FINANCE: Meet with our Loan Officer to find the best, most affordable loan for you and to get pre-approved.
BUY: Shop for a home that meets your needs - and your pocketbook. We have a list of trusted Realtors and Home Inspectors to guide you in negotiating the best deal. Your HomeBuying Specialist is available to review your documents with you before you sign on the dotted line!
PROTECT: Come and take a class on home maintenance and repairs, tax issues for homeowners, and building a strong financial future as a homeowner.

Please note that we are approximately one month out for counseling appointments and homebuyer education classes.
As a general rule, a household should have an annual gross income of $24,000 (or at least $2,000 a month before taxes) – OR significant personal funds (e.g., $20,000+) to use toward a down payment in order to afford a home in the Portland metro area. If your income is currently under this amount, please call to discuss your situation with a Portland Housing Center staff member before registering for services.
