There is a non-refundable $99 registration fee per household, paid at the time of registration. Please review our complete fee schedule here.
- Please note this registration is for all Portland Housing Center services, including counseling, education, and financial services. Portland Housing Center’s financial services/down payment assistance programs require additional income/asset qualification and are subject to availability. Down payment assistance is just one of the tools Portland Housing Center provides to first-time homebuyers, we do not recommend homebuyers registering solely to receive down payment assistance.
- As a general rule, a household should have an annual gross income of $40,000 (or at least $3,333 a month before taxes) – OR significant personal funds (e.g., $20,000+) to use toward a down payment in order to afford a home in the Portland metro area. If your income is currently under this amount, please call to discuss your situation with a Portland Housing Center staff member before registering for services.
