I am a Principal Real Estate Broker licensed in both Oregon and Washington and have the privilege of being the owner of the Place Portland team at Living Room Realty. It is important to me to be involved in homeownership advocacy at all levels so I am also on the Board of Directors for the State of Oregon and the Portland Metropolitan Association of Realtors. I am passionate about helping people build opportunity and wealth through owning Real Estate and have the honor of holding the designation of ‘preferred Realtor’ for the Portland Housing Center. I love working with first time home buyers, investors, and luxury clients alike. I believe in my team’s top notch customer service and our goal to create an experience so great that we have clients for life. Through every turn, I am dedicated to serving my clients by making them feel cared for, knowledgeable, and represented throughout the entire buying and selling process.
I began my real estate career with Georgetown Realty, Inc as an assistant to the Managing Broker of our Westside office in 2004. That was almost a year after I came to the United States.
Prior to this, my background in the Philippines where I was born and where I grew up was in government service for six years as a Project Development Officer for a Special Project Management Unit created under the Office of the President. I was employed here from 1997-2003, two months after I obtained my degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from Notre Dame of Dadiangas University at General Santos City, Philippines.
The longer I worked for Georgetown Realty, Inc. as an Office Manager and Transaction Coordinator, the more my passion for real estate intensified. In order to provide a higher level of service to our clientele, I became a Public Notary in 2004 and a REALTOR in November of 2006. Since then, I have been diligently working with buyers and sellers with my team of Realtors in our office.
To give back to the community, I volunteer and support my Filipino community through their numerous fund-raising activities to promote the Filipino culture and heritage. I also volunteer for the Golden Leaf Education Foundation, a non-profit organization that enhances & provides educational opportunities & support for schools and the poorest of the poor in Cambodia, as well as other non-profit organizations which provides free legal clinic to assist newcomers in changing their immigration status from refugees to permanent residents.
In addition to this, I also do volunteer work at my church as a lector at least once a month and supports other parishes with their fund-raising activities.
If I am not cooking or savoring the delightful cuisine of the Pacific Northwest with my family and friends, I usually immersed myself in a book during my free time or just bask in the beauty of the Pacific Northwest through hiking and running.

I moved to Portland 14 years ago from Chile. I’m fluent in both English and Spanish, and have a great grasp and understanding of multiple cultures and the displacement involved with moving. I love the challenge of negotiating the offer and will fight hard to represent your interests with style, grace and respect; towards all parties involved. My relationship with clients is more than a single transaction. I strive to be a lifelong resource, and have made many wonderful lasting friendships along the way. As your agent, you will have a knowledgeable, strong and witty partner on your side!
Three generations deep in Portland real estate brokerage, Tyson officially joined the family business in 2003. Since, he has taken a blue collar approach, seeking his client’s interests at every turn. He has seen extremes in market trends, learning valuable lessons along the way. The fundamental goal in his work is to empower his clients, enabling them to make informed decisions of their own. This is achieved through educating, acting more as an advocate than a salesman. The hope, that you’ll find his zero pressure approach refreshing. Through the years, he has grown familiar with all the metro area, earned a degree in Real Estate Studies from Marylhurst University and works tirelessly to better serve his clients through his own education. It’s with great pride that he embraces his role as a participating broker at the Portland Housing Center.
Born & raised in North /Northeast Portland to a VanPort Born Father and Portland Born Mother. My mother would go on to serve in social work with the Housing Authority and Father, a General Contractor would serve the community for over 4 decades painting homes. Some of the his projects still stand to this day. The spirit in which my parents served would take shape throughout my life and ultimately result in a real estate career that would span over 15 years. Far from finished…I sometimes feel as if I’m just getting started. I can remember being a first time homebuyer and the nervous excitement that I felt throughout that experience. I now get to relive this incredible journey with each client I’m blessed to work with. My years of expertise now replace the nerves and I now bring a relaxed confidence throughout the homebuying process and beyond the closing table. I’ve worked in numerous capacities as a Realtor, Realtist, Agent, & Broker but my favorite is helping first time buyers realize their goals of someday purchasing their own home. I’m here for it and have time today…everyday.
I look forward to meeting you!
