I grew up in Portland and have lived in the Beaverton/Hillsboro area for the last 26 years. I love the Northwest and the Portland area. I have been a full time real estate agent since 1996, with the philosophy that my job was to help people buy and sell their next home regardless of price range or area. I quickly realized my passion was helping first time buyers find and negotiate the purchase of their first homes. As a buyer’s agent I’m diligent, but a ‘no pressure’ realtor with the philosophy that when together, the buyers and I, find what they are looking for we will move quickly on it.
My strengths as your realtor are communication(keeping you informed of the process as well as the next steps in putting a purchase together), negotiating skills (with 20 years of experience and a large majority of my clients being first time buyers) and just generally being my clients advocate and guiding my clients through the buying process while making it fun and informative during the transaction.
My interests are playing cards(which has helped me immensely in reading a seller or agent when I’m presenting an offer), traveling( I love the balanced perspective it gives me about life), sailing(hours of peace and moments of terror!), shooting pool(keeping the competitive edge up) and music(I write songs, but doubt they will ever be famous?). I’ve been married 33 years(to the same girl!) and have three kids and two grandchildren.

I’m a midwestern girl who searched up and down the east coast before realizing that Portland is my home. I arrived here as a software consultant only to find that this is a place with a personality unlike any other.

Peter Champ purchased his first property in Portland over thirteen years ago after deciding that this was the community in which he and his wife wanted to raise their three children. Prior to becoming a real estate broker, Peter owned and operated a successful import and retail business.
